Cooldown Panels and Lag


As time elapses and more enemies spawn the game starts to lag significantly. I am currently working on a fix but it may be further down the timeline than I would like. Until then, you can use the new dev key to text out higher difficulties quickly.

  • New cooldown panels to visually track your cooldowns. Note: Light Blade in particular will not go on cooldown until every slash has been done. If you see "FIRING" you should still have a slash left to perform.
  • Changed enemy collider shapes from capsule to circle to try to reduce the lag.
  • Bugfix: Light Blade wouldn't reset until we ran into an enemy at max slashes. Oops.
  • Bugfix: Unlocked characters should now actually be playable. Forgot to set the weapon types in the refactoring pass.
  • Holding F3 will increase the time scale to 5.0. Use sparingly. Releasing the key should reset the time scale, but if you release it while in a menu (e.g., leveling up) then it will keep the time scale at 5.0. Hitting the key again should fix it.

Edit: bonus bugfixes I missed!

  • Button to end the run early now brings you back to the main menu instead of just breaking things.
  • Testing enemies having a smaller collider for avoid each other and allow a bit more stacking which will probably make the lag problem worse.
  • Bugfix: Chain Lightning will now actually not stick around after a reset.
